ABOUT OUR FOUNDER // RICHARD WOOD
Whitetracks Helicopters have provided an efficient and professional service for us over a number of different corporate travel programmes
Natasha Schofield
My love of the mountains started many years ago when I was fortunate enough to enjoy ski trips to Europe with my school.
This early introduction to ski-ing and the awe inspiring mountain ranges of Northern France triggered a life long passion for the sport and the Alpine region.
It was very clear to me that I must find a way to make my life and career linked to this place and so I set about a lengthy path to get there, some way, some how.
I studied sports science with business at university and started working ski seasons in order to be part of this amazing community. It was around this time during a stint as a ski guide/host with Ski Olympic I started to organise apres ski activities for my clients.
These included dog sledging, bobsleigh, hot air ballooning, ice driving amongst others and a few helicopter rides, my intention was to add a little extra fun to my client's holidays and I was frequently told that these activities were the most memorable part of their trips.
Having built a reputation for great experiences and excellent customer service I set about writing my own website, and this at a time when the internet was in it's infancy.
Fast forward several years and a few self-taught lessons in web design I soon became google's number one helicopter transfer company in the world.
The helicopter side of the business was born and so became Whitetracks Helicopters.
Today we are recognised for our personal service and focus solely on our luxury helicopter transfers, (if you call us it will often still be me that answers the phone). Our local knowledge of the region drawn from 13 years of ski seasons in the French Alps set us apart from our competitors and to this day we have a client list that is second to none.
We are proud to have clients that have flown with us for more than 15 years, PAs to the rich and famous who have us on speed dial, and a celebrity client base who value our honesty, integrity and discretion in everything that we do.
I love the mountains as much today as I did 20 years ago when the idea for Whitetracks was first born in a bar in Meribel. We love what we do and we will make sure that you are looked after every step of the way. Our clients have often become our friends and I look forward to making your flights one of the most memorable experiences.
You're in safe hands. Thank you for your support.
Richard
