GENEVA TO DAVOS - WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM TRANSFERS
The World Economic Forum (WEF) is a Swiss non-profit foundation that describes itself as an independent international organization committed to improving the state of the world.
The flagship event of the foundation is the invitation-only annual meeting held in the ski resort of Davos at the end of every January. The five day meeting brings together some 2,500 top business leaders, international political leaders, selected intellectuals and journalists to discuss the most pressing issues facing the world, including health and the environment, international conflicts, poverty at a global and regional level.
Funded by its member companies which are mainly global enterprises with a turnover more than five billion dollars. These enterprises rank among the top companies within their industry and/or country and play a leading role in shaping the future of their industry and/or region.
